“You’re a follower of Jesus, a dancer, a momma, a writer and a painter. You pray hard and dig deep and are always checking yourself. Your hair’s big and so is your heart. You’re a good egg.” – Emily

Kindra is blessed with a Russian-speaking husband, a funny-boned teen son, a baby girl with a smile that doesn’t stop, and a hockey-playing houseguest from overseas. The goal of her blog is to nourish moms hungry to build a Christian legacy tailor-made for their families.

She is currently stretching her wings at preaching. In addition to getting her feet wet with exegesis and hermeneutics, Kindra is pursuing a graduate certificate in Theopoetics and Theological Imagination. As a former teacher, she is on the lookout for simple ways moms can grow their children in this Christian way of life during routine daily activities. Seeking higher quality in children’s Christian literature, her goal is to write books that will raise the bar.

Kindra co-founded Gallery One:1, providing victims of Boko Haram with food, shelter, trauma-healing, education, and job skills. She currently leads the art-making at the gallery and is incorporating art-making in church services and prayer nights.

She is part of a local dance group performing for nursing home residents, semi-pro sporting events, and just for some mid-week fun. Yet, she also loves the slow life- quiet morning bike rides, an evening mug of oolong, and writing by a sunny window.
